How to cook a tastier porridge?

It would seem, who does not know how to cook porridge? But everything has its own peculiarities.

Buckwheat. If time permits, add water to the cereal in the evening so that it swells overnight and in the morning all you have to do is bring it to a boil, and the porridge is ready.

Semolina. Mix four tablespoons of semolina per litre of milk. Let it simmer for three minutes, then remove from heat and leave to simmer for twenty minutes. It will be tasty and healthy if you add berries, especially prunes, to the porridge.

Rice. For rice porridge, it is recommended to take products in the following proportion: one glass of rice (preferably round) per one litre of milk. You can add honey to the finished porridge: it is healthy and tasty.

Millet. During cooking, you can add finely chopped pumpkin to the porridge.

Oatmeal. It is useful to add raisins and dried apricots to porridge. An interesting taste can be achieved by adding maple syrup. If you like unsweetened porridge, you can grate cheese into it and stir.

Pearl barley. To make it crumbly, soak the cereal and cook covered for forty minutes. During cooking, add butter.

If you decide to add honey, jelly or jam to the porridge, then you should not put sugar in it, otherwise it will turn out to be cloying.
