Minimalism as the basis of style

Minimalism as the basis of style

We often get tired of floral prints, frills, bright bags, colorful scarves and an abundance of accessories. At such moments, we want something monochromatic and laid back. But sometimes we are afraid of looking too dull, monotonous and avoid such a style as minimalism.

In fact, according to stylists, such a wardrobe is the best way to look relevant. Minimalism will suit both sophisticated fashionistas and those who are just looking for their image.

What is the main concept of this style? First of all, restrained shades. The wardrobe base is built on white, black, beige, brown, gray. Muted shades of blue, green, burgundy also have a place. But no fuchsia and other eye-catching colours. It is better not to seek animal and floral prints, if you want to understand what a minimalist wardrobe is. It is important to choose a semi-fitted style, with clear and simple lines. Minimalism is not focused on hot trends for one season, so things in this style do not lose their relevance for many years. This style is characterised by quality. Restrained colours and simple cut are balanced by luxurious, high-quality materials: satin, silk, linen, leather, wool.

While some people may think that minimalism is boring, in fact, this style allows you to experiment and realise your fantasies, while maintaining elegance and restraint. Thus, a linen suit is a canonical example that embodies minimalism in clothing - add different accessories to it in accordance with your mood and situation.

Remember: the more low key your image is, the more important the details. Pay attention to the fit of the clothes, the condition of the shoes and the quality of the fabric.

How to understand the “50 shades” of beige? As we mentioned earlier, beige is a favorite for minimalists. Indeed, this shade looks aristocratic and sophisticated. But it turns some into elegant ladies of the Coco Chanel era, while others are deprived of all natural colours. Note that beige has many shades, both cold and warm. For example, never combine a gray-beige skirt and an orange-beige blouse in one look. Try to ensure that your bag and shoes also match the right tone. To avoid looking like a pale moth, never choose things that match your skin tone. Possessors of a contrasting colour type (‘Winter’ or ‘Summer’) should take a closer look at cold shades of beige. Girls with a softer color type (‘Spring’ or ‘Autumn’), in whose appearance warm tones prevail, should opt for warm shades – golden and caramel undertones of beige.
