Nasolabial triangle: a mortal danger

Never squeeze pimples in the nasolabial triangle area, dermatologists warn. Veins without valves pass through the nasolabial triangle: the area from the wings of the nose to the lips, and blood from there flows directly into the cavernous sinus, that is, the sinus of the dura mater of the brain. If an infection gets into the wound, there is a danger that it will spread through the veins and arteries. Infection can reach the meninges. Washing one’s face until it is squeaky clean

Such washing will lead to the fact that oily skin begins to produce even more oil, and dry skin becomes even drier. After this, irritation and peeling appear on it, the skin loses its elasticity. There is a common myth that hot water expands pores and cleanses better. In fact, washing with hot water provokes inflammation and premature aging of the skin.

 

Rubbing one’s face with a towel

Often after washing, we thoroughly rub our face with a towel. Wet skin can be easily injured. In addition, our towel can be a source of bacteria, because we do not change it daily. If you have problem skin that is prone to rashes, it is better to gently pat it dry with a paper towel after washing.

 

Wet hair

Never go to bed with wet hair. According to the leading expert of the Centre for Molecular Diagnostics of the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor, Marina Savkina, this will lead to fragility. Wet hair is weak and defenseless. “The surface layer of the hair swells, the cuticle scales no longer adhere tightly to the shaft, and they are easily damaged. Therefore, be sure to dry your hair carefully with a soft towel,” the expert advises.
