Birds are lying

Birds are lying

Do birds lie like humankind? Of course! The Koran speaks about the similarities between humans and the creatures surrounding them. God the Almighty says, “There is not a moving (living) creature on earth, nor a bird that flies with its two wings, but are communities like you…” (Sura AlAn’am, ayah 38). After performing numerous experiments, scientists were astonished when they discovered that birds lie just like humans!

The world of birds is full of secrets which scientists could not discover except some of them. The lying phenomenon in birds is a new discovery the scientists found out a few years ago. Birds lie in order to obtain their food; they may also lie and cheat to attract a female!

However, Koran, the book of oneness, told us about this situation when mentioning the hoopoe bird in the Prophet Solomon’s story with Balqees. God the Almighty gave the Prophet Solomon the ability to understand the birds’ language and to speak to them. In the story, when the hoopoe bird arrived late and told the king Solomon that he found people who prostrate to the sun instead of God, Solomon told him, “We shall see whether you speak the truth or you are (one) of the liars.” (Sura AnNaml, ayah 27).

This ayah verifies that birds can be either trustworthy or dishonest. This is what the scientists have discovered very recently! Here a person asks: how did the prophet Solomon know that birds lie? And who told the noble Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) this story? Indeed, God the Almighty is the one who created birds and their world.

Tolerance is a Treatment

Scientists have found that makes people more patient. tolerance and forgiveness boost the immune system, help cure diseases, help lower blood pressure and protect the body from heart attacks and strokes. Today, physicians advise their patients who suffer from psychological disorders to practise and learn tolerance and forgiveness and help people.

They have also discovered that happiness can not be attained though money but rather through offering help to whoever needs it. All glory to God; He commanded us to be tolerant and forgiving. God the exalted says in the Holy Koran, “O ye who believe!

Truly, among your wives and your children are (some that are) enemies to yourselves: so beware of them! But if ye forgive and overlook, and cover up (their faults), verily Allah is OftForgiving, Most Merciful.” (Sura AtTaghabun, ayah 14). God, therefore, commands us to be tolerant and forgiving and provides us with the suitable treatment for our psychological and social problems for He wants us to attain happiness.

It is disliked to eat or drink while standing

Physicians say that if we do not relax while eating that may cause a great stress to our digestive system and also that our internal enzymes will not have the chance to work on that food to assimilate the nutrients into our bloodstream. So they advise us not to be rushed while eating and that we should always sit on a chair in a comfortable position while eating our food. We should not forget that Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited us to eat or drink while standing.

Sleeping on the right side

Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) advised us 1400 years ago to start our sleeping mode on the right side, why? Scientists say that sleeping on the left side is not favored, as the heart would be under the pressure of the right lung, the biggest of the two lungs, and this would affect its contraction especially if the person is old. Also they assure that the full stomach which itself is under the pressure of the heaviest organ in the digestive tract, the liver, which delays its emptying, would also impose a pressure on the heart. Hence they advise people to sleep on the right side especially for patients by any heart disease.

Prostration Cures Nervous Tension

Everything in this universe prostrates to God including the sun, the moon, the stars, the trees, and even every single cell of our bodies and every atom of this vast universe. Every time you prostrate to God, He elevates you to a higher level, spiritually and religiously, and every level equals what is between the heavens and the earth.

Prostration is a kind of exercises that lets out the extra charges, activates the blood circulation, improves concentration, and trains man to be patient and calm. Let us contemplate those who are praised in the Holy Koran: “Those who spend the night in adoration of their Lord prostrate and standing.” (Sura Al-Furqan, ayah 64).

What is their reward? God the exalted answers this question in the same Sura. He says in the Holy Koran: “Those are the ones who will be rewarded with the highest place in heaven, because of their patient constancy: therein shall they be met with salutations and peace.” (Sura AlFurqan, ayah 75). Let us contemplate how God the omniscient associates prostration at night and patience; a proof that more prostration cures tensions and Scientists have found that makes people more patient.

Grape Treatment

Researchers proved that grape seeds have effective properties in fighting cancerous cells in skin, breast, intestine, lung, stomach and prostate. Also they found that the seeds, leaves and juice of grapes and grapes as whole all have numerous health benefits. Some of these benefits are: prevention of teeth decay, elimination of bacteria in the mouth and activation of the human memory and also the liver.

The Almighty Allah says about grapes, “And a sign for them is the dead land. We give it life, and we bring forth from it grains, so that they eat thereof. And we have made therein gardens of date-palms and grapes, and we have caused springs of water to gush forth therein. So that they may eat of the fruit thereof - and their hands made it not. Will they not, then, give thanks?” (Sura Ya-Sin, ayat 33-35).
