Use waste paper - save the trees

Every day we use paper products, which, after usage, are put in the garbage can, though the waste paper is a recyclable material that should not be thrown away to a landfill or be thoughtlessly burned. Rather it must bring benefit even after use.

One ton of waste paper can save 10 trees, save 1000 kW of electricity and 200 cubic metres of water. Nowadays, when fires have engulfed vast areas of our countries’ forests and are destroying them at an alarming rate, we must show the most careful attitude to paper products and begin a processing cycle. It is not known when it will be possible to compensate for the damage caused to nature, but even today, we, ordinary citizens, can become involved in a good cause and positively influence the state of forests by giving waste paper for recycling.

According to the specialists, only about 10% of waste paper is recycled, which does not include 9 million tons of waste paper that appears annually in landfills. If the people could start a processing cycle for paper products, there would be an opportunity to bring huge environmental benefits by reducing the percentage of trees cut down.

Paper can be processed up to six times, producing insulation, egg packaging, paper dishes and napkins, corrugated cardboard, and craft packaging paper. Paper (including those with gouache and watercolor drawings, with traces of glue), books, glossy magazines, notebooks, and similar paper products are accepted for processing cycle. However, receipts, photo paper, wallpaper, paper cups, and parchment paper are not suitable for recycling.

Paulo Coelho once said that the purpose of the desert is for people to enjoy the trees. So let us start to rejoice and take care of the lungs of the earth now - before it is too late.
