Teaching children to love God

We often see schoolchildren doing wrong, sometimes even cruel things.

Children are people who have a long-life journey ahead of them. They are born tiny and cannot do anything except what their instincts dictate. However, in order for our children to live not only by instincts, but also by reason, we must teach them to walk through life correctly.

For some reason, many parents are sure that this is the responsibility of teachers at school, kindergarten teachers, etc. But let us be honest. If we, parents, do not care what our child grows up to be, then why should someone else be more interested in this? After all, a teacher or educator is only temporarily with our children but we remain their parents for life. And if we do not educate them, then even after our death people will not remember us with good words. And they will probably be right. After all, it is our duty to raise our child to be a decent person.

Well, we may not succeed. And children do not always meet our hopes and expectations. But this does not mean that we should not make efforts to achieve a good result. After all, our task is to work in this direction, trusting in the Almighty, who gives the result. We cannot know what this may be and can only hope for the Grace of our Lord. But, as they say, trust in God,and do not make mistakes yourself. Therefore, it is important to instill in children love for the Creator.

Talk to your children, and most importantly, learn to listen to them. And they will trust you. Explain to them how to do noble deeds. Why you must not offend those who are weaker, etc. Be a true friend to your children, so that they do not become cruel and do not succumb to someone’s negative influence. Talk to them about the Creator, lead them by telling stories related to the lives of prophets and righteous people. Teach them religion by example. Believe me, children are easily captivated by this. They themselves will want to be like such people. After all, children are still pure creatures and their souls strive for bright, kind and noble deeds. They just need to be shown this path and explained how to walk along it. Guide your children along this path, where their character will improve and be cleansed of all bad things. And then you will not have to blame yourself. After all, you will invest the best in your child: love for the Creator, and therefore for all living things!
