Become a child’s friend, listener, interlocutor
Become a child’s friend, listener, interlocutor
It is known that children, like sponges, absorb everything they see around them. Therefore, working with them is a very responsible task. After all, losses and omissions made at an early, preschool age are often irreparable.
Who is the standard for a very young person? Parents, grandparents, sisters and brothers... In general, the closest and most significant people. This includes their teachers as well.
If a person decides to become a professional in his field, to take up such a difficult job as teaching children, what should he be like? Perhaps the most important thing is that he must be a person with a kind heart and have an endless love for children. There is no other way. After all, children, like radar, clearly and accurately perceive and reflect information and subtly sense people. The teacher is a psychologist, an artist and an entertainer. His task is to get in touch with the child, to become his friend, listener and interlocutor. He should be able to involve him in the world of knowledge, hold his attention, teach him something useful and kind in a simple and playful manner, showing by examples what is good and what is bad. The list does not end there.
Raising children is becoming increasingly difficult. Taking into account modern realities and the development of technology, the educator must constantly improve his knowledge and keep up with the times. To be, so to speak, a universal specialist. Virtue, ethics and morality are the basic principles that need to be taught to a child. Along with this, it is important to develop critical thinking so that a young person can subsequently distinguish useful information from harmful information, especially in today’s reality.
To raise a thinking, active, creative personality in a child - this is the goal of the educator. In this regard it is impossible not to mention the great teacher, a man who lived many centuries ago and left us a wonderful example of how to raise children and how to treat them. Prophet Muhammad ﷺ never raised his voice, was infinitely kind, patient, treated children with respect, and was very attentive, sensitive and compassionate towards them. When he was performing namaz and suddenly heard the cry of a child, he hurried to complete the worship out of pity for the baby, in order to quickly help him. And this is just one example...
Finally, let us say that the profession of a teacher not only imposes a huge responsibility on a person but also gives an undeniable benefit: the ability to enjoy life and look at it through the prism of children’s pure souls.
