Health tips form Koran and Sunnah

Doing good deeds is the way to happiness
Scientific studies confirm that doing good deeds positively affects the psychological status of human beings.
Recently scientists have observed that people who carry out charitable work and other good deeds experience less anger and stress and feel more positive and self-confident. The study at the Mindlab of the University of Sussex measured the stress levels and other emotions of a group of men and women who performed good deeds for nine days.
Psychologist Dr. David Lewis, who conducted the research, says that being more considerate can reduce stress levels.
Researchers say that the effects of stress on the body are well documented: it can suppress the immune system, lead to rise in blood pressure, increase risk of heart attack and stroke and contribute to infertility. The research also found that good deeds had a positive chain reaction effect with beneficiaries of the deeds feeling more motivated to help others themselves.
Previous research at Harvard University has shown that helping others also makes us mentally tougher and physically stronger.
Therefore we have to realize why Almighty Allah urges us to do good deeds for others as He says, “Then We granted the Book to those We have chosen from Our servants. Some of them wrong themselves, some follow a middle course, and some are foremost in good deeds by Allah’s Will. That is ˹truly˺ the greatest bounty.” (Sura Fatir, ayah 32)
Indeed it is a great grace to live in this life without anxiety, healthy and happy.
Eat and drink but do not waste
A group of Finnish researchers had found a simple dietary regime to increase human’s life by 20% not eating and drinking to excess. This less leads to decreasing blood pressure and cholesterol levels both are primary causes of sudden death.
Almighty Allah commands us not to waste when we eat and drink by saying, “And eat and drink but waste not by extravagance, certainly He (Allah) likes not Al Musrifun (those who waste by extravagance).” (Surat Al Araf, ayah 31)
Hence, eating and drinking appropriately not only benefit our health but it is a great worship to Almighty Allah.
The holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) advised us to follow a healthy diet as is recommended by western doctors nowadays. This is why the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has established a medical basis for the consumption of food and drink.

He (peace and blessings be upon him) says, “A human being has not filled any vessel worse than the stomach. Enough for the son of Adam are some mouthfuls to keep his back straight: but if there is no escape he should fill it a third with food, a third with drink and leave a third empty.” (Narrated by At Tirmidhi)
Scientists confirm that filling the stomach with food and drink is one of the most serious dietary habits. Therefore, they advise to minimise the amount of food intake. Several diseases can be cured by nothing more than a healthy diet and abstaining from eating large quantities of food.
And this prophetic rule is considered to be one of the basics of modern medicine, demonstrating the sincerity of our Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and that all he says is by inspiration from Allah not by himself!
The Miracle of the Nerve Cell
One who looks at the miraculous design of the nerve cell, should perceive the greatness of the Creator (be He blessed and exalted).
By examining microscopic images of the nerve cells of the brain, scientists affirm that the brain contains more than a trillion nerve cells. And see how there are branches or links emerging from the cells, their jobs being to transmit information between them. It is a design of high precision and complexity.
According to God, Who created these cells and gave them this suitable form for their function, without which it would not be possible for us to think, understand and learn, “The Most Gracious (Allah), He has taught (you mankind) the Koran (by His Mercy), He created man, He taught him eloquent speech.” (Sura Ar Rahman, ayat 1-4).

Here we ask: who gave this cell its form and guided it to work correctly?
Imagine that the human brain contains more than 1,000,000,000,000 cells (one trillion), all of which are related to each other and work together without any defect or error. Is it not He who said, “Is He Who gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright.”? (Sura Taha, ayah 50)
The Memory of Zamzam’s Water
Science reveals new secrets about the water of Zamzam and the way it is influenced by the verses of the Glorious Koran.
Almighty Allah has mentioned the word “water” several dozen times in His Great Divine Book; the Glorious Koran. What we are interested in here is the latest discovery of the Japanese scientist Masaru Emoto concerning “water’s memory”, and how water stores inside its memory all the events that take place around it! Masaru Emoto performed the first pioneering experiments of this kind on water.
He experimented with a few drops of water which he put under various sound frequencies. He noticed that the water particles arrangement differs upon change in frequency! Perhaps the final experiment Dr. Masaru Emoto did was on the water of Zamzam which he subjected to a stiff and fastidious test.
He found out that this water differs from any other type of water on the globe. Interestingly, he noticed that this water has a special interaction and reaction with the Words of Almighty Allah, when the Glorious Koran is recited over it.

Perhaps we can now comprehend why it is preferable and encouraged to recite [i.e. ayat from the Glorious Koran] on water with the hope of cure an ill patient! Water is the only element in nature that is distinct from other elements due to its physical and chemical properties that make it unanimously the “Master” of all other elements.
Emoto brought a few drops of Zamzam water and recited the “Bismalah” (In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, Most Merciful) in Arabic over them and noticed that the arrangement of the water particles became prettier! In fact, these drops of water formed unique shapes as if they were drawn by a fantastically skilled artist.
