Secrets of the Prophetic Biography

Secrets of the Prophetic Biography

When the Prophet Muhammad entered Mecca the disbelievers were afraid but he did not even think to take revenge because they had harmed and fought against him but decided to let them go free and because of that action many of them decided to enter the religion of Islam.

Today, scientists say that pardoning others is a way to heal many psychological disorders and also to strengthen our immune system. God says, “And to forego is nearer to At-Taqwa (piety, righteousness, etc.). And do not forget liberality between yourselves. Truly, Allah is All-Seer of what you do.” (Sura Al-Baqarah, ayah 237). The Prophet Muhammad was kind with all people and also with animals and we know about the woman who entered hell because she let a cat die because she withheld food and water from it.

Some orientalists believe that the Prophet Muhammad was the first man in history to assert the principles of caring for animals. God says about the Prophet, “Verily, there has come unto you a Messenger (Muhammad) from amongst yourselves (i.e. whom you know well). It grieves him that you should receive any injury or difficulty. He (Muhammad) is anxious over you. For believers (he is) full of pity, kindness, and mercy.” (Sura At-Taubah, ayah 128).

The Prophet Muhammad faced many hard situations, especially when he was immigrating from Mecca to Medina when Abu Bakr (may God be pleased with him) joined him in that journey and was afraid that bad things caused by the disbelievers might harm the Prophet . At that time both of them were sitting in “the cave of Thawr”. However, the Prophet wanted to make Abu Bakr feel safe as he told him, “Be not sad (or afraid), surely Allah is with us.” (Sura At-Taubah, ayah 40).

Here we have to know that many scientific researches confirmed that the sad feeling negatively affects our immune system. The Prophet mentioned many hadith about the importance of cooperation and helping others. As he says: “You do not believe till you wish for others what you wish for yourself.” Here we see how the Prophet encourages us to help others and to offer all good things to them.

Most psychologists confirm that helping others reduces nervousness because helping others stimulates the secretion of a hormone called “endorphin” , which helps us feel happy. The Prophet Muhammad was kind with all people especially with his wives. He used to say, “Take care of your wives.” (Narrated by AlBukhari). If we carefully study his biography, we find that he possesses an exalted standard of character amongst all humanity. Today, recent studies confirm that family quarrels lead to a weakening of our body’s immune system and may cause heart attacks for those who suffer heart problems! Now, we can understand the benefits of kindness between wives and husbands.
