Advice of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

Advice of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

Once the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Ali (may God be pleased with him), “Do five things before going to bed at night: 1) Give four thousand Dinars in charity, 2) Read one complete Holy Koran, 3) Pay the price for Jannah (Paradise), 4) Make two people happy with each other when they are upset and 5) Perform one Hajj.”

Hazrat Ali (may God be pleased with him) said, “O Prophet of God, this is very difficult for me.” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) then said, (1). “Read four times Sura Fatiha, and you shall gain the reward of giving four thousand Dinars in charity, (2) Read Sura Ikhlas thrice, and you will gain the reward of reciting one Holy Koran, (3) Recite Salawat (salutation on the Prophet) thrice, and you will gain the reward of Jannah; (4) Recite Astaghfirullah (Astaghfirullah Rabbi min kulli zanbi wa atubu Ilaihi) ten times, and you will gain the reward of making peace between two people fighting, and (5) Recite the third Kalima (Subhaanallahi Wal Hamdu liLlahi Wa Laa Ilaha Ilal Laahu Allahu Akbar Wa Laa Hawla Wa laa Quwwata Illa Bil Laahil ‘Aliyil ‘Azeem) four times and you will gain the reward of making Hajj.” On hearing these words, Hazrat Ali (may God be pleased with him) said: “As from this day onwards, I will always follow this practice.”
