Signs of Allah

The entire universe, which was created by Allah, follows and obeys His laws. Muslims are encouraged to seek knowledge, explore the universe and find the “Signs of Allah” in His creation. Some of the other Koranic miracles include the uniqueness of every person’s identity, when Allah Almighty discusses the matter subject of reforming human’s body in the Holy Script in Sura al-Qiyama ayats 3-4 as: “Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? Yes. [We are] Able [even] to proportion his fingertips.”

It means that every person is exclusive in its individuality from another, which is also proved from the scientific invention of finger printing machines that detect the true identity of one from its DNA.

The survival of pharaoh

Pharaoh was the tyrant of his time. Almighty Allah recounts the story of pharaoh, his tyranny and end: “And pharaoh said, “O eminent ones, I have not known you to have a god other than me. Then ignite for me, O Haman, [a fire] upon the clay and make for me a tower that I may look at the God of Moses. And indeed, I do think he is among the liars. And he was arrogant, he and his soldiers, in the land, without right, and they thought that they would not be returned to Us. So We took him and his soldiers and threw them into the sea. So see how was the end of the wrongdoers.” [Sura al-Qasas: ayats 38–40].

Allah willed that pharaoh be drowned and that only his body survives so that the people after him can witness that phenomenon that scientists marvel at. The body of pharaoh was found intact. The scientists who participated in the autopsy of the corpse were astonished how his body survived and recovered intact despite him drowning in such depths. This is what we were told in the Koran, as Almighty Allah says, “So today We will save you in body that you may be to those who succeed you a sign. And indeed, many among the people, of Our signs, are heedless.” [Sura Yunus, ayat 92].

We can not say but, Subhana Allah!

How to start a family reading tradition: cozy evenings with books

It is a quiet evening outside. The room is warmly lit. A cup of fragrant tea is on the table, and in their hands, a book that is about to begin a new adventure.   The children sit close, holding their breath in anticipation of the story. This is not a scene from a movie, it could be your...

Healing Foods

Salt has a hot and dry substance. A hadith from Anas reports that the Prophet ﷺ said, “The master of seasonings is salt.” (Narrated by Ibn Majah). Ibn Umar reported that the Messenger of God ﷺ said, “Almighty Allah has sent down four blessings from heaven: iron, fire, water, and...
