Zarruq’s Law or Newton’s Law

Zarruq’s Law or Newton’s Law

Isaac Newton was an English physicist, mathematician, mechanic and astronomer, one of the founders of classical physics and mathematical analysis (b. 4 January 1643 d. 31 March 1727).

Newton’s third law states: the force of action is equal in magnitude and opposite in direction to the force of reaction.

Newton is known throughout the world, his contribution to science is invaluable and every schoolchild knows his three laws. The expression “Newton’s law” is often used not only in the exact sciences - it has become an aphorism. In artistic comparison, it can also be interpreted as the struggle between good and evil.

Two hundred years before Newton, the great scientist and Sufi, a prominent faqih of the Maliki theological and legal school, Sheikh Ahmad Zarruq (1442-1493) lived on Earth.

He was born in the city of Fez, located in modern Morocco. In his works he described the following law: “Never has truth been revealed on Earth except when it has encountered an equal lie that opposes it. And they have always tried to eradicate truth, to mix it with lies. The appearance of such opposition is a confirmation of truth, because only in comparison is truth and its true value known.” We can call the description of this opposition “the law of Zarruq.”

The law of Zarruq, or Newton’s law, began to operate from the moment of the creation of the first man, Adam, when the devil became proud and began to feel hatred and envy towards Adam. According to the same law, Cain killed Abel.

Then over 124 thousand prophets and messengers were sent to humanity, and all of them faced heavy resistance and opposition from those who went astray, disobedient to the Creator people, who were overcome by black envy.

From that time until our days, all who abide in the divine truth - the righteous, the favorites of the Almighty - face opposition, behind which stands the devil.

A well-known expression says: “There is hope that all enmity will be extinguished. With the exception of the enmity that comes from the envious. The motive for his enmity is only envy.”

Explaining this expression, one of the scientists said that a person can stop even enmity with the murderer of his mother, but not the enmity that arose because of envy. May the Almighty protect us from such a terrible vice!

From the moment of the creation of Adam until the Day of Judgment, the machinations of the devil and the intrigues of the envious were and will be. There were and are also the heirs and descendants of the prophets - true scholars, righteous people, sheikhs who lead the people along the path shown to us by God, the Holy Koran and the noble Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

We see how today some people resist and envy our true sheikhs, leaders, alims and imams and hate them and try to slander and harm them. But the light of divine truth cannot be extinguished, no matter whoever tries and how hard they do so.

What should we do in this difficult situation? We should give immeasurable praise to the Almighty; ask the Creator to preserve our faith and protect us from hypocrisy; firmly follow our sheikhs - the heirs of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ - and not succumb to the provocations and false words of slanderers.

The time of hypocrites and envious people will pass quickly, as it did with those who fought the prophets, companions and righteous people. This is a losing war, because the devil and his minions will ultimately end up in Hell.
