Secrets of Hajj (Pilgrimage)

Secrets of Hajj (Pilgrimage)

The journey of pilgrimage is an easy way to acquire Allah’s satisfaction as the pilgrim is considered to be a guest in the house of Allah.

Hajj is the holy spiritual journey to the house of Allah, The Kaaba, as all believers deep wish to visit this holy place because Almighty Allah gave it advantage over any other place in the world.

Almighty Allah says, “Verily, the first house (of worship) appointed for mankind was that at Bakkah (Makkah Mecca), full of blessing, and a guidance for Al ’Alamin (the mankind and djinns). In it are manifest signs (for example), the Maqam (place) of Ibrahim (Abraham); whosoever enters it achieve security. And Hajj to the House (Kaaba) is a duty that all mankind who can make the journey owes to Allah as for those who deny the Hajj, Allah can surely do without them.” (Sura Ali ‘Imran, ayat 96-97).

The Hajj includes all worship: in it there is monotheism, prayer, fasting, zakat, good behaviour, supplication (the centre of worship), patience, contemplation, thinking about the creation of Allah, jihad by the soul, spending money, humility, purity and charity.

The human does all of that while he or she is directed to Allah by a sincere heart.

Neuro linguistic programming scientists say that what makes a human being exhausted is the tremendous amount of problems and surrounding worries and that the best way to rebalance is to empty accumulated negative charges. And that process is necessary to make human lives better and to make the best investment in energy. Hajj is the best way to do that. Almighty Allah says, “That they may witness things that are of benefit to them and mention the Name of Allah on appointed days.” (Sura AlHajj, ayah 28)

The Hajj journey is one of the best sports all over the world; you can find in it walking sport, contemplation sport and submissiveness sport. All of these kinds of sports are useful for the body. Some Islamic studies confirm that the Hajj journey increases the strength of the immune system and provides the believer with power and health. Almighty Allah says, “That they may witness things that are of benefit to them and mention the Name of Allah on appointed days.” (Sura Al Hajj, ayah 28)

There is a sign in a great verse about the sphericity of earth, when Allah Almighty ordered the prophet Ibrahim to proclaim to people that they come to perform the worship of Hajj as He Almighty says, “And proclaim to mankind the Hajj (pilgrimage). They will come to you on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every deep and distant (wide) mountain highway (to perform the Hajj).” (Sura Al Hajj, ayah 27) Glory to Allah who says in the divine book of the Koran, “they will come from every deep” not from every far place. Glory to Allah Almighty!

The scientists say that walking and fast walking protects from many diseases such as heart diseases, cholesterol, high blood pressure and obesity. We can see that the journey of Hajj is full of many medical benefits as Allah Almighty says: “That they may witness things that are of benefit to them and mention the Name of Allah on appointed days.” (Sura AlHajj, ayat 28).

This is a real photo for a stone of pearl and inside it a photo for the Kaaba, the scientists say that this stone is 30 million years old (before the existence of mankind on earth), as if Allah Almighty gives us a signal that the Kaaba is the first house (of worship) appointed for mankind as He Almighty says: “Verily, the first House (of worship) appointed for mankind was that at Bakkah (Makkah), full of blessing, and a guidance for Al ’Alamin (the mankind and jinns).)” (Sura Ali ‘Imran, ayat 96).

Performing ceremonies of Hajj in an appropriate way provides the believer with a magnificent power which is resulted from circumambulation around Kaaba, long walking between Al Saffa and Al Marwa , prayers, throwing Satan by stones, stand in Arafat and the moving between many places as if Hajj is a process to formatting the human soul. Hence, Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) says: “Whoever performs Hajj for Allah’s pleasure and does not have sexual relations with his wife, and does not do evil or sins then he will return home (after Hajj free from all sins) as if he were born anew.” (Narrated by Al Bukhari)

The well of Zamzam is the oldest well in the world. Scientifically, it was proved that the water of Zamzam is free from viruses or bacteria and also it was proved that this water heals from incurable diseases and there are many cases of people who were ill by diseases and medicine was unable to treat them but when they came for Hajj or Umrah with a sincere intention and after drinking from Zamzam and with supplication to Allah, the Almighty treated them from these diseases. Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) says: “Water of zamzam is good for whatever (purpose) it has been drank.” (Narrated by Ibn Majah).

A photo for a water molecule demonstrated by the Japanese scientist Masaru Amoto who says: “There is a healing power in the well of zamzam for many diseases. Recent studies proved that reading Koran on zamzam water increases its healing power and the arrangement of its molecules changes. Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) says: “Water of zamzam is good for whatever (purpose) it has been drank.” (Narrated by Ibn Majah). Don’t we take the benefits from the season of Hajj and provide ourselves by this blessing water?

The scientists confirm that contemplation treats anxiety as it is a magnificent strategy to organize the body work and eliminates all different kinds of nervous and psychological disorders.

The sport of contemplation enhances the abilities of mentality and makes the body sleeps well and increases the ability for creativity, solving problems and increases the neural activity of the brain. Also, contemplation increases the secreting of some chemical substances which leads to a prolong life. Allah Almighty says: “That they may witness things that are of benefit to them.” (Sura Al Hajj, ayat 28). We supplicate Allah Almighty to let us to stand on the mountain of Arafat to contemplate.

The number seven has many indications: number of circumambulations around Kaaba are seven, number of rounds between Al Saffa and Al Marwa are seven, we throw the Satan by seven stones and we must be directed to the Qiblah during prayer.

The most strange thing is that the word Qiblah was mentioned seven times in the Holy book of Koran as the Almighty says: “The fools (pagans, hypocrites, and Jews) among the people will say, ‘What has turned them (Muslims) from their Qiblah [prayer direction (towards Jerusalem)] to which they were used to face in prayer’.”) (Sura Al Baqarah, ayat 142)

  • 2. “And We made the Qiblah which you used to face, only to test those who followed the Messenger.” (Sura AlBaqarah, ayat 143).
  • 3. “Surely, We shall turn you to a Qiblah that shall please you.” (Sura AlBaqarah, ayat 144).
  • 4. “And even if you were to bring to the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) all the Ayat (proofs, evidences ,etc.), they would not follow your Qiblah.” (Sura Al Baqarah, ayat 145).
  • 5. “nor are you going to follow their Qiblah.” (Sura Al Baqarah, ayat 145).
  • 6. “And they will not follow each other’s Qiblah.” (Sura Al Baqarah, ayat 145). 7. “and make your dwellings Qiblah.” (Sura Yunus, ayat 87). Glory to Allah Almighty!
