The Koran prayer to have children

The Koran prayer to have children

The Koran prayer to have children

The prophet Zakaria (peace be upon him) asked God the Almighty to give him a son as he wanted an heir who would become his inheritor after him. Thus he turned to the Creator with the following prayer:

“Rabbi la tazarni fardan va anta khairul variseen (a).”

“O Lord! Do not leave me alone, with no heir. For You are the best of inheritors! You alone are eternal in the world where all creatures die.” (Sura AlAnbiya, ayah 89, tafsir “al-Muntahab”). Reading this prayer with trust in the Lord, there is a hope that the Almighty will give you a child, as He gave the offspring to His prophet Zakaria (peace be upon him).
