Each passing year leads us to reflect on the past and gives rise to plans for the future. Each family also has something to remember in the past year, something to thank both God and each other for, something to repent of and something to ask for forgiveness for.

 

Changing the annual cycle is a very convenient reason to analyse your past and try to start family life at a new quality level.

What can a man do to become a better husband in the new year?

– Try to analyse the past year, remember all your sins, mistakes, faults, omissions, insults, unjustified hopes and tears of your wife shed through your fault.

– Ask your wife for forgiveness for everything, without going into details and without reminding her of something unpleasant that happened before. Admit that you were wrong about something. Not just ask for forgiveness, but achieve forgiveness.

– Tell your wife that you also forgive everything and do not hold any grudges.

– Thank her for everything good she does. In this case, you can specify, dramatise the facts and even slightly exaggerate the significance of these pleasant moments with which your wife pleased you. Do this all not formally, but sincerely.

– Agree that in the future you and your wife will support each other and help in everything. Discuss that if one of you makes a mistake, you will delicately and lovingly correct each other and help correct each other, and not harshly criticise and create scandals.

– Just sit and talk with your wife. Pay attention to her, look her in the eyes, let her know that you care about her.

– Discuss joint plans for the future, discuss the details, describe the mechanism for its implementation and, with trust in God, hope for the best outcome.

 

What to take into the future and how to preserve love?

Respect, patience, love, mutual understanding and mutual assistance.

Save love. Maintain romance and tenderness in your relationship no matter how many years you have been married. Instead of thinking too much about whether she still loves you, focus on making her fall in love with you over and over again.

Marriage is not just a legal agreement but a lifelong commitment.

If you love your wife, you must show her that you are trying to be a good and even a better husband every day. Yes, this is easier said than done. But if you know what to do, you can begin to determine your direction towards this goal right now. Do not wait for tomorrow, start today.
