The importance of Rabi-ul-Awwal

Rabi ul Awwal is not only exceptional for being the month of the birth of our beloved Prophet Muhammad , but it is also the month in which he began his journey of Hijrah and built the first Mosque of Islam, the Masjid eQuba. Rabi ul Awwal is also significant because the first Jummah prayer was performed in this month.

Almighty Allah described the Prophet Muhammad as “a mercy to all the worlds”. He led humanity from darkness to light. Eid e Milad un Nabi is celebrated by Muslims in East and West with great devotion and reverence, the occasion reminding people of how the Prophet lived his life and serving to rejuvenate their belief.

Nowadays, the celebration of religious occasions such as the 12th of Rabi ul Awwal are extremely important in instilling in young people the values, ethics and moral code practiced by the Prophet .

It brings people closer to the teachings of Islam and to the Holy Prophet’s way of life. The sacred month causes Muslims to remember the blessings of our beloved Prophet and to fill our hearts our love for him.
